My goal is to create finely crafted black and white prints that reflect my vision of the landscape.
The process begins with an image captured using a medium-format digital camera, or in the case of earlier work, a high-resolution scan of an image captured on medium-format or large-format black and white film. Each image receives careful processing, and is then printed digitally with custom-mixed carbon pigment inks on acid-free fine art paper.
The prints are true to the subjects as originally captured; no manipulation beyond what was typically possible in a traditional darkroom is done. The prints exhibit a unique blend of detail, luminance, and tonality that gives them a look all their own.
Those who exhibit or acquire my work can be assured that the prints are crafted to the highest aesthetic and archival standards.
